The Ultimate Training Site, Coastal Baja, Mexico.
Why train in Baja Mexico?
Simply because you won't find a better location. Located 45 minutes south of the US and Mexico border we are located on a 2 mile long sandy beach. Five minutes by car there is a world class golf course and fine oceanfront dining resturants. The Guadalupe Valley wine country sits 10 miles to the east and Ensenada is 20 miles to the south. Ensenada has great shopping and nightlife.
From a student or pilots perspective, laminar air is as smooth as it gets.
Training and flying powered paragliders can be done all day long. We have onshore breezes year around. All year is our season. The average temperature in the winter is 65 degrees and in the summer temperatures reach 75 to 80 degrees. Along with PPG our location offers world class free flying in many locations within a 5 mile radius. Behind our beach training site is a 600' ridge that is about 1 mile long. Often hangliders and paragliders are seen soaring the ridge.
Beachfront accomodations range from $35 to $100 per night. Typically weekends are when the pilots visit. Pilots come from all over the world. Just north of the US and Mexican border is San Diego International Airport. Help and or advice with transportation and logistics is availalble.
Motors and paragliders are available to rent. Please e-mail for more in formation and mention the type rental equipment information you need. We provide shipping, logistics and cutoms services so that your equipment can arrive at our training site safely. Information is available via e-mail.
We also facilitate shipping your equipment from the US to any part of Mexico via air freight out of the Tijuana International Airport. We cross the equipment, declare it to Mexican Customs, deliver it to the air freight terminal and reverse this process when your equipment returns to the US. Fees avaialble via e-mail.
