The Little Cloud Paragliders
My friend Jeremy suggested I try and fly the 20 meter Little Cloud Spiruline. He said if you try it you will buy it. Well I did. One word sums up this paraglider...Fun!
Before my first flight, I thought I may be too heavy for the small 20 meter wing. I thought I may not get off the ground. I thought this wing may sink out like a rock. Well, it performed better than most other modern paragldiers in the 25 to 30 meter range that I own. The Spiruline is now my new glider of choice. I am anxious to get my friends under this paragldier.
My first impression as I kited the wing is that it is too small to give me the performance I need. It was fun to kite and quite easy considering the small size. The glider, in the stuff sack, seemed to be half the size I am used to hauling around. My first free flight was with my APCO minimal harness appropriately named the "Hike". Up the 600' La Salina ridge I hiked with this little backpack / harness and Little Cloud paraglider. I was at the top of the ridge in record time. Within minutes I was soaring the ridge by myself. I felt like this was a new chapter in my flying career. I had a great flight and look forward to many more free flights especially when my friends are lugging up their back breaking heavy paragliders and harnesses.
